Sunshine Baby Blanket

Finished this nice  ” Sunshine Baby Blanket” 43×43 blanket, just in time for the Baby Toes Challenge that Project Linus is promoting the month of September 2014. This  blanket was a challenge for me to crochet, I have never crocheted with yarn this fine before. Bernat ” Softee” Baby. I bought a new  ergonomic  crochet hook a few weeks ago and wow  what a nice surprise, should have bought one long ago. I would never have been able to make this blanket without the help of  ergo hook.

Halfway through our Baby Toes Challenge we’ve raised $1480.00. THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far!

A New Pattern Complete

DSC01147  DSC01145

Don’t you just love it when a pattern is easy to follow and  works out perfectly?  This “Corner to Corner“pattern is very simple and has a nice texture. This blanket is 44” square, so next I want to figure out the rectangle, don’t think it will be to difficult.  I made this with leftover yarn from other Blankets for Linus projects.

Corner-to-Corner Blanket

My new blanket for Project Linus, is a corner to corner pattern that is really working out nicely. I like to make blankets that are easy and work up quickly, this pattern fits that description. Its been a long time since l have increased and decreased, so its a bit of a challenge. I watched a half a dozen videos and read a few patterns and decided to just go for it. Here is  the link for the free “ Corner to Corner Blanket” that you can read. The video was very  helpful and easy to follow along.  I have mastered the increase,  I don’t think l will have any problems with the decrease. Will just have to wait and see the finished product. 🙂

Glowworm Blanket

Glowworm shinning nice and bright

Keeps you safe and warm at night.

Glow worrm blanket

This blanket was named after the glowworm green yarn from red heart. I didn’t realize the name of the yarn until l got home, gave me a nice idea for a blanket. The photo doesn’t show  off the glowworm green enough, but you get the idea. 38×52

July 4th Blanket

I have decided to repost as July 4th is just around the corner and have a bit of an update about this blanket. I normally have no idea where the blankets go, this time is a bit different. Camp Corral is camp for children of wounded, disabled or fallen military parents, that is sponsored by Golden Corral Restaurants, the camps taking place all over the US. The next one in NC is July 6th in King, NC. They expect 250 children.  I am thrilled that I was able to contribute and feel enlightened to  know where the blanket  has been sent too.
